Launch configuration
HoleScore is a no-account static website. The launch version has no score backend. Player names, course names, notes, pars, and scores are stored locally in your browser and are not automatically uploaded to HoleScore.
Local browser storage
HoleScore uses browser storage to keep an active round, recent player choices, preferences, and up to twenty completed rounds. Browser storage can be unavailable or cleared. Private-browsing restrictions, browser settings, device changes, or deleting site data may remove local rounds. HoleScore does not promise permanent storage or cross-device backup.
Sharing, clipboard, print, and exports
These actions occur only when you request them. A share action may pass the text summary to your device’s share sheet. Copying uses the clipboard. Printing uses the browser print dialog. CSV and JSON exports are created locally. Exported files may contain player names, course details, notes, and scores; store and share them accordingly.
Newsletter and contact data
The development-list form is disabled in this launch package. No email address is submitted or retained by HoleScore. If an update provider is connected later, this page must be revised before the form is enabled to identify the provider, purpose, retention, and deletion contact.
Analytics
No analytics service is configured in this launch package. If privacy-reviewed analytics are added later, player names, course names, tee names, round notes, pars, scores, totals, relative scores, round identifiers, exported files, and clipboard contents must remain excluded.
Security and limits
HoleScore does not provide encrypted cloud storage, account security, cloud backup, or server-side score protection because no score backend exists. Your device and browser control local data security.
Changes
Privacy practices may evolve if HoleScore adds optional services. Material changes should be posted here before the related feature is enabled.
Privacy contact
A public privacy-contact channel is being configured. Until it is published here, do not submit personal information through HoleScore. The scoring application does not require it.
